On June 15, MovNtec welcomed the inauguration of RegenEAU France at its Ruitz facility. RegenEAU France is the French subsidiary of Canadian company RegenEAU, which specializes in wastewater heat recovery.
Beyond the opening of a new location, this inauguration marks an important milestone for MovNtec. It brings to life a new industrial model designed to support innovative energy transition companies as they expand into Europe, enabling them to start manufacturing quickly without having to build their own factory.
The First Milestone of the France–Quebec Corridor
RegenEAU’s arrival marks the first industrial achievement of the France–Quebec Energy Transition Economic Corridor, an initiative led by the Centre of Excellence in Energy Efficiency (C3E) and the Béthune-Bruay, Artois Lys Romane Urban Community.
Already deployed at more than twenty sites across North America, RegenEAU’s patented technology recovers heat from wastewater to reduce the energy required to produce domestic hot water in multi-unit buildings by up to 75%.
These systems will now be manufactured in Ruitz to support the company’s expansion into the European market.

A Turnkey Industrial Model
To establish its European operations, RegenEAU is leveraging MovNtec’s existing infrastructure and industrial expertise.
Our teams will support the company at every stage of its development:
- Adapting the technology to European standards;
- Establishing a local supply chain;
- Manufacturing and assembling the systems at our Ruitz facility;
- Scaling up production to achieve mass manufacturing.
This approach enables an innovative company to enter the European market quickly by leveraging an existing industrial infrastructure.
An Industrial Accelerator for Cleantech Companies
With this first collaboration, MovNtec is taking another major step forward in its development.
By providing 15,000 m² of industrial facilities, 140 skilled employees, and more than twenty years of industrialization experience, we are now offering a genuine turnkey industrial solution for international companies looking to manufacture in Europe.
As Antoine Cumin, Co-Managing Director of MovNtec, explains:
“With RegenEAU’s arrival, we are moving from a production-focused approach to becoming an industrial growth accelerator. (…) We offer a unique industrial fast-track that enables companies to move from prototype to serial production in just a few months.”
This evolution builds on our longstanding industrialization activities and opens up new opportunities to support energy transition companies as they scale up their industrial operations.
A Shared Ambition for the Energy Transition
The inauguration of RegenEAU France demonstrates what collaboration between manufacturers, local authorities, and international partners can achieve.
By welcoming this first industrial facility, MovNtec reaffirms its ambition to support innovative companies in their industrialization journey while contributing to the development of a more sustainable and competitive industrial sector in Europe.
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to RegenEAU, the Centre of Excellence in Energy Efficiency, the Béthune-Bruay, Artois Lys Romane Urban Community, and all the partners and elected officials who attended the inauguration for their trust and commitment to this strategic project.
